CM Punk Says He ‘Survived’ Bron Breakker On WWE Raw, Previews New Film Night Patrol

CM Punk says he “survived” Bron Breakker on last night’s episode of rather that defeating him, calling Breakker a “maniacal meathead” in a new interview. Punk successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Punk on last night’s show.

Punk noted in a new interview with Hank Azaria Rosanna Scotto for Good Day New York that he “made it through” before talking about his new horror film Night Patrol. You can see the highlights below:

On His Win Over Breakker And How He’s Feeling After:

“I did, yeah. I survived, I think, I made it through, yeah… I don’t know what it’s like to feel like a real human being, yeah. So this is like every day for me.”

On Facing Breakker:

“Oh, last night I wrestled a maniacal meathead who was trying to kill me, yeah… They all do [get personal]. They all try to rise to my level and get personal and really — I think that’s what the people like though, right? There’s an old saying, personal rivalries draw money. And that’s all we’re trying to do.”

On Night Patrol:

“I was talking to you guys off camera; this movie is the type of movie that I would not have been allowed to watch when I was a child, but that I would have watched it anyway. It’s borderline — like a throwback, like grindhouse, exploitation. Cops, Bloods, Crips, LA underbelly. Vampires as we’ve already discussed.

“And it’s a horror movie. That to me is like my bread and butter. I think horror movies can best talk about culture and what’s going on. And it’s — I don’t know. Horror movies to me have always been the voice of cinema. We look to all of these big movies… and they tell stories but they don’t really get into real-life stuff. There’s a lot of real life issues that are going on in this movie that are going on in a fantastical way, with crazy characters and real life situations.”
