CMLL Homenaje a Dos Leyendas Results 3.20.26: Hechicero Wins Title From Claudio Castagnoli

CMLL has a new World Heavyweight champion. Hechicero beat Claudio Castagnoli at today’s CMLL Homenaje a Dos Leyendas event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City to win the title.

This ends Castagnoli’s title reign at 112 days. He won the belt from Gran Guerrero last November at CMLL Leyenda Azul. Additionally, Claudio Castagnoli just signed a CMLL contract ahead of the title bout, making him a dual CMLL and AEW star.

Elsewhere, AEW stars, Castagnoli’s stablemates in the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta), were in action, challenging Sky Team for the CMLL World Trios Titles. Sky Team was victorious in retaining the belts. Below are some quick results from the event, per Fightful:

* Las Infernales (Lluvia, Zeuxis, Dark Silueta & Valkyria) defeated La Catalina, Persephone, Skadi & La Jarochita.
* Copa Infernal: Infernales (Averno, Euforia & Mephisto) beat Guerreros del Infierno (Último Guerrero, Rey Bucanero & Toscano).
* Retirement Match: Satanico beat Blue Panther & Atlantis in Satanico’s last match.
* Hair Match: Marcela & Magnifica defeated Princesa Sugehit. Sugehit was shaved bald as she was the last person to take the fall
* Apuestas Match: Virus, Cancerbero, Hombre Bala Jr., Calavera Jr. I, Calavera Jr. II & Coyote beat Max Star & Pólvora. As the last two participants remaining, Max Star & Pólvora were later forced to compete in a Mask vs. Mask match.
* Mask vs. Mask Match: Max Star beat Pólvora. Pólvora unmasked, revealing himself as José Luis Grande Escalante. He was also accompanied by his brother, Inquisidor, during the unmasking.
* CMLL World Trios Championship Match: Sky Team (Mistico, Mascara Dorada & Neon) beat the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) (w/ Marina Shafir) to retain the titles.
* CMLL World Heavyweight Match: Hechicero beat Claudio Castagnoli (c) to win the title.
