– AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes recently conducted a fan Q&A session on Twitter this week. During the Q&A, he was asked about Bob Holly mentoring him in WWE, AEW signing Orange Cassidy, and more. You can check out some of Cody’s fan Q&A tweets below. Also, Cody revealed that the next match announcement for AEW All Out was coming this Friday (Aug. 16).

Another fan question asked how AEW could justify hiring Orange Cassidy, when AEW was promoting that it would be a more serious, “sports based” promotion. Cody said in response, “Easily. He’s a great & fun pro wrestler. The show is 100% sports-based, but the competitors are vastly different in style and delivery.”

Regarding what venue Cody Rhodes would like to see host AEW, he stated, “State Farm. Georgia hasn’t had a true homecoming style show since the Goldberg’ nitro. TNT being based in Atlanta, it would be a helluva party.”

Later, a fan asked Cody about Bob Holly taking a mentor role for Cody when he first started out in WWE. Rhodes was very complimentary about Bob Holly being a good mentor for him. He stated, “I would say so. Took me to the gym…a lot. Was protective of me in the ring too. Also, didn’t sugarcoat how green and unprepared I was. I needed that.”
