Congress Passes ACT For ALS Reauthorization Act Backed By Rebel

The ACT for ALS Reauthorization Act, which AEW star Rebel promoted a petition for, has been passed by Congress. I AM ALS posted to Twitter on Tuesday to share the news that the reauthorization passed the US legislative body with just over a day to go before the act was set to expire.

The ACT For ALS Act is more properly known as the Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS Act. The legislation is a major funding source for ALS research and treatements. The reauthorization the act extends funding for the programs supported by the act through 2031. It will now go to President Trump’s desk for signature.

Rebel, who is diagnosed with terminal ALS, posted to social media earlier this month asking people to sign a petition and otherwise support the passage of the act.
