Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-Way: Laredo Kid (c) vs. TJ Perkins vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Dragon Lee: I feel like those of us at home are more interested in seeing these guys than the Puebla fans seem to be. Winner: Laredo Kid (13:18 via pinfall)
Match Rating: ***3/4
This is the kind of match one either really loves or really hates. I don’t love constant spotfests, but I do appreciate a truly epic spotfest by itself, and this was certainly one. I was afraid Laredo would fall by the wayside, but he hasn’t. Cartwheel is definitely a star waiting to happen. Dragon Lee’s done a lot more in WWE than I would have thought possible when he signed.
Rey Fenix comes down to the ring dressed like one of Seth Rollins’ henchmen. He congratulates Laredo, and they establish that they are next on each other’s agendas.
Flammer is congratulated for being the longest reigning Reina de Reinas Champion by Hiedra & Maravilla. They run down the list of names she’s beaten, including Lady Shani & Dalys. On April 11 in Mexico City she will hold the biggest celebration that’s ever been seen.
We see a video covering the issues between El Fiscal & Abismo Negro. Fiscal is the original Abismo’s son, says the new one stole the name, the new one says he’s better than Fiscal, fire gets involved multiple times, you know, the usual thing.
El Fiscal vs. Abismo Negro: Fiscal & Abismo go at it right away. Fiscal knocks Abismo outside, then tope suicidas him! Clotheslines in the corner by Fiscal, then some punches. Kick by Fiscal, then clotheslines Abismo down. More strikes in the corner, Abismo tries to fight back but runs into an elbow. Fiscal goes up top, gets crotched into a Tree of Woe, then dropkicked by Abismo. Cover gets two. Abismo chokes Fiscal on the ropes. Fiscal with a dropkick, but Abismo sweeps Fiscal’s legs then hits a clothesline. Abismo with a chinlock. Fiscal fights out, gets smacked back down. Chop in the corner, then a slap by Abismo. Fsical with a couple of clotheslines, then a double leg takedown. Kick in the corner, Fiscal goes for the martinete (Tombstone), Abismo fights out and rams Fiscal’s shoulder against the turnbuckle. Abismo goes for the same move, but Fiscal rolls through and ends up getting 3 on Abismo!
Winner: El Fiscal (6:32 via pinfall)
Match Rating: **1/2
I really liked where this was going early on, but it seemed like they ran out of gas pretty quick. You know Undertaker had to be happy when he realized he could book feuds around his finishing move.
Abismo attacks Fiscal afterward and sends him into the ring steps. Abismo clears the Spanish announce table and beats Fiscal against it. He sets up for a martinete! Abismo hits it on the table! Medics immediately run out with a backboard and carry Fiscal out through the audience while fans chant bad words at Abismo!
Next Week: Flammer defends the Reina de Reinas title against Sussy Love! El Mesias returns to AAA!
El Hijo del Vikingo comes out with Dorian Roldan & Omos. Dorian asks the fans to be quiet. He didn’t expect much from Puebla today. Vikingo has been betrayed by his people & his community. Vikingo is the best pound for pound wrestler in the world, and Doran hands him the microphone. Mini Vikingo is a stupid fool that has no idea what he’s getting into. Last time, Hijo sent him to the hospital and his stupid mother was crying. Next time he’ll send Mini to the morgue. Puebla has the best wrestler in the world and they don’t give him enough respect. Vikingo will leave, and they will miss him. His next stop is WrestleMania. Vikingo is going after the Intercontinental Championship, and he asks Penta to come out right now.
Penta comes down to the ring. The fans are much happier to see him. Penta asks Vikingo if it’s true. When Penta left AAA, Vikingo was a great wrestler, but he sees that Dorian has turned him to waste. He disputes Vikingo’s pronunciation of his championship’s name. Vikingo has rooster teeth. Penta says that Vikingo doesn’t have the respect of anyone, and if Vikingo thinks he’s better than Penta he’s got another thing coming. Penta isn’t Dom, he’ll finish Vikingo off. Vikingo asks what Penta thinks about April 11 in Mexico City. Penta accepts, and does his strut before pushing Vikingo’s face! Penta poses with his championship and even stares down big Omos!
The graphic makes it official, Penta will defend the IC Championship against Vikingo in two weeks on this program! Penta tells Vikingo & crew to be ready, thanks the fans and hopes to be back soon. Penta hits the catchphrase as the show comes to an end. So long for now!
