Damian Priest & R-Truth Retain Tag Team Titles On WWE Smackdown

Damian Priest and R-Truth’s WWE Tag Team Championship reign is still intact, as the two retained their championships on this week’s WWE Smackdown. Priest and R-Truth battled Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga of the MFTs on Friday night’s episode. The match, which went a little over 10 minutes, saw the champions defeat the Tongas to keep their reign going.

The finish of the match saw Solo Sikoa come down to the ring, which caused Talla Tonga to be distracted. Sikoa had run into Jacob Fatu earlier in the night and that left Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga questioning Sikoa, telling him to stay back for the match as his family stuff was messing with the MFTs. Talla’s distraction allowed Priest, who had been in trouble, to tag in Truth. The champions ultimately were able to get the win when Truth used a schoolboy pin on Tama Tonga.

Damian Priest and R-Truth’s title reign is up to 92 days, having defeated Sikoa and Tonga to claim the titles on the March 20th episode of WWE Smackdown.
