Danhausen Removed From AEW Roster Page

As previously reported, Danhausen shared a cryptic image on social media that many took as a tease of him leaving AEW, with his contract possibly expiring. Additionally, his profile and image no longer appear on the AEW roster page on the company’s website (h/t Fightful).
The AEW roster page is typically kept very up to date, so many are taking this as a sign that Danhausen is no longer part of the company. It was reported last December that Danhausen’s AEW contract was expected to expire this month.
The very nice, very evil wrestler hasn’t appeared in AEW or ROH in a while. He last appeared in ROH at Final Battle 2024 in December of that year. It was also rumored that WWE was interested in bringing in Danhausen once he became a free agent.
During this week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer speculated on the possibility of Danhausen joining WWE. He stated, “He’s absolutely not the kind of wrestler that Paul Levesque would want as a top star.” Meltzer continued, “But he can be a comedy character, could get over as a cult figure early, and would likely sell a lot of merchandise. I expected discussion regarding him and that in the end they’d give him a try.”
Some fans are speculating that Danhausen could be the wrestler who emerges from the mysterious crate that’s appeared on SmackDown and Raw that’s supposed to be opened later tonight at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026. However, that remains to be seen.
