Daria Rae has revealed the length of her TNA contract, noting that she has signed on for a six-month deal with the company. As noted, the former Sonya Deville debut at TNA Impact’s AMC premiere. Rae was introduced as the new authority figure and quickly turned heel on TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella. Rae appeared on Busted Open Radio and spoke about her deal with the company.
“I signed a six-month deal,” Rae told the hosts (per Fightful). “I plan on seeing it through. I’m having a lot of fun. Everything is going great so far. As long as it is a continuously mutual beneficial situation, meaning I’m adding value and I feel good about what I’m getting in return, then I don’t see why it wouldn’t continue long-term.”
Rae noted in July that she was retired from wrestling for the time being, stating:
“Definitely [retired] for now. Never say never but, right now I feel at peace with that. I’m not gonna lie and I haven’t said this but, it almost is like an open wound and if I think about wrestling somewhere else, it’s like, I was so loyal to the company. It was my only home from 21 years old to 31. I’m a ride or die type of person in general. So, it’s weird to even think about doing that, but not there.”
Rae also noted on Busted Open that she spoke with Carlos Silva at Invicta in April of last year but wasn’t ready to be part of wrestling again at that time.
