Konnan is reportedly recovering after a difficult period involving serious health complications. Dave Meltzer shared the latest update on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying he had received positive news about the wrestling veteran.
Konnan was hospitalized in March and underwent a double-leg amputation. He has also dealt with diverticulitis and kidney-related health problems. Meltzer has now reported that Konnan was “past the worst” of his health issues.
Meltzer said about the former WCW United States Champion (via Wrestling Inc), “I actually did hear this tonight. Konnan is past the worst, thank God. I mean, he went through hell. But, he is the past the worst is what I was told.”
While the veteran was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 ahead of Bound For Glory on October 11, he could not attend the ceremony due to health issues. Cruz Montana accepted the honor on Konnan’s behalf. Formerly known as Mike Santana, he returned to TNA to recognize his former LAX partner.
