The Wrestling Observer Radio recapped last night’s Edition of Raw, and Dave Meltzer checked in with the latest update on Dean Ambrose leaving WWE in April. Meltzer had expressed his skepticism over Dean Ambrose actually leaving WWE and possibly turning it into a storyline. He believed on Raw, there would’ve been an angle where Dean reveals that he’s not leaving, but it didn’t happen. After both Fastlane and Raw, and Meltzer speaking to his contacts, Ambrose leaving the company still appears to be the case.

Meltzer stated on Ambrose, “And then last night after the show, I checked, and this is not an angle. He’s really done. And after watching tonight’s show [Raw], I had no problem believing it.” It was noted that there wasn’t any mention of Dean leaving during The Shield’s farewell promo at last night’s Raw. Bryan Alvarez added, “He just stood there the whole time. And Roman talked about how Seth was going on to slay the Beast at Mania. There were ‘slay the beast’ chants. He said that he was going to beat Brock, take the Universal title, everyone’s going to chant ‘Burn it down.’ They did The Shield fist bump, and Dean Ambrose said nothing this entire segment.”

In January, WWE confirmed that Ambrose would be leaving the company when his contract expires after WrestleMania in April.
