Deonna Purrazzo Becomes Inaugural Women’s Pure Champion At ROH Final Battle

Deonna Purrazzo has is the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion, capturing the title at ROH Final Battle on Friday. Friday night’s show saw Purrazzo defeat Billie Starkz in the finals of the tournament to win the title. The match between the two opened the show and went nearly 14 minutes, ending when Purrazzo locked Starkz in the Venus De Milo when she was out of rope breaks. Starkz tapped out to end the match and give Purrazzo the win.

The Title Tournament was a long time coming; it was initially announced in April. However, the tournament didn’t kick off in September due to injuries. Purrazzo defeated Trish Adora in the first round, then received a bye when Queen Aminata was unable to compete. Starkz defeated Olympia in the first round and Yuka Sakazaki in round two.
