Note On Ben Bishop Making TNA Debut At Bound For Glory

Ben Bishop made his debut for TNA at Bound For Glory, and a new report has some context on how long the company has had interest in him. Bishop was part of the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match at Sunday’s PPV, entering at #19. It was his first appearance for the company; he had a WWE tryout in July of last year.

Fightful Select reports that Bishop’s name came up regularly in TNA going back to when previous regimes were in charge. Sources in the company claimed that Tommy Dreamer wasn’t big on the clips Bishop would post of himself to social media, which other people in the company said should have been a major point in his favor.

Fightful Select asked Dreamer about the information and quoted him as saying, “I’ve been working with Ben a lot lately on trying to better him. I like him. He had a tryout that didn’t go well a long time ago. I told him I don’t think his social media is helping him get hired other places. He has improved in ring so much, hopefully someone picks him up.”

There is no word on whether TNA has signed Ben Bishop as of now.
