Backstage Details On Development Of Card For AEW All In: London

AEW All In: London is just a couple of weeks away, and a new report has some backstage notes on how the card was developed. The PPV takes place on August 30th at Wembley Stadium, with six matches official so far. The headlining match is Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Will Ospreay.

According to Fightful Select, sources in AEW have been stating since about February that Omega vs. Ospreay has always been the plan for the main event. Those sources say that rumors about an internal push for MJF joining the match that popped up before Beach Break are false and that was never considered. Rather, MJF has been planned to be part of the Casino Gauntlet match since before he lost the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega. Andrade has also been planned for the Casino Gauntlet since that point, and the match is set to heavily feature the two for name value.

In addition, the AEW Women’s World Championship match between Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale was planned for months, though some in the company pushed for Thekla to be involved when her momentum picked up. The report notes that the plan for Nightingale vs. Mone was set since at least when Toni Storm went off of TV. However, Nightingale’s injury did mean that the specifics around the plan likely changed.

While some have speculatedf on other tag teams being added to the AEW World Tag Team Championship match that will see Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defend against The Young Bucks, that does not currently appear to the the plan and as of last week, sources said it was just set to be the two teams in the match. As for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship match, Divine Dominion vs. Brawling Birds has also the plan for most of 2026.

At one point, Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight had been discussed, though that is not confirmed to be still happening.
