As previously reported, it was discovered that specific WWE library content, such as WCW and ECW-branded content, is leaving NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform at the end of the end of the month. During today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided more details on the WWE library archive leaving Peacock.

Meltzer reported that the WWE library is leaving Peaacock at the end of the month. He noted that what will happen to the WWE library in the United States is “up in the air.” However, Meltzer reported that ESPN is interested in some of the library content.

Meltzer stated, “ESPN has said that they’re interested, so it will probably wind up with ESPN.” The new ESPN App is currently the home of WWE premium live events in the U.S. The partnership kicked off in September with Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Indiana. Netflix has the international streaming rights for WWE PLEs.

It’s unknown how much of the library that ESPN will acquire and utilize on its streaming service. Meltzer noted that while Netflix still has the international rights for the library, there’s still a great deal of content that Netflix hasn’t put up.

Peacock will also air WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event later this month on December 13. The event will feature the final match of John Cena’s career. The event takes place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
