Dominik Mysterio’s Betrayal Costs El Grande Americano Tag Team Match vs. Los Perros del Mal at AAA Verano de Escándalo

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio showed his true colors at Verano de Escándalo Week One, leaving El Grande Americano at the mercy of Los Perros del Mal and costing him the tag team match.

The opening week of Verano de Escándalo was headlined by a tag team match, pitting Dominik and Americano against Daga and Angel of Los Perros del Mal.

The highly entertaining match saw interference from other members of Los Perros del Mal and Los Americanos. The babyface duo had the match won at one point, when Americano took out Daga with a Dragon Screw and then sent Angel crashing into a referee.

Dominik followed it up with a 619, and Americano then hit his trademark headbutt. However, the referee was still down and out. This allowed Bronco Nima and Berto to get down to the ring and take out “Dirty” Dom.

Angel hit a Lights Out Suplex as the official got back in, but Americano kicked out. Los Americanos came out wielding kendo sticks to even the odds but were overpowered by Bronco Nima and Co.However, Bravo didn’t give up, as he climbed up 20 feet in the air on a lightning rig to take out the heels. This allowed Americano to hit Angel with a side slam. However, the latter kicked out.

Karmen Petrovic strolled down to the ring as Nima double chokeslammed Rayo and Bravo through the announce table. Americano fought him off with a dive and a headbutt. In the ring, Angel and Daga threw their best shots, including executing a dropkick-german suplex-combo, at Americano. However, Americano refused to stay down. He channeled his inner Hulk Hogan and took out Daga and Angel with a Double Clothesline.

Americano approached his cornet to tag Dominik. However, the Mega Champion showed his true colors, as he refused to tag in after initially showing interest, leaving El Grande Americano fending for himself. Angel and Daga teamed up to attack an already beaten up Americano as Dominik watched on from the ramp. Daga ultimately hit a Dagge Double Stomp from the top rope to secure the pinfall for Los Perros del Mal.

After the match, Omos and Dorian Roldan showed up to join Dominik at the ramp. Dom shook hands with Dorian, establishing the new alliance. El Grande Americano will challenge Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Title at Triplemania 34.
