Don Callis says that independent promotions joining the MyAEW service is going to be a major boost for those companies. As has been noted, the AEW streaming service has added a number of indie promotions to watch including events from Maple Leaf Pro, C4, Limitless, 1FW, PRODUCE, Warrior Wrestling, Create-A-Pro, and WrestlePro.

Callis spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview and during the conversation, he was asked what joining MyAEW will do for those promotions. He noted that it provides an immediate credibility boost for them.

“Oh, I think it’s huge,” Callis said. “AEW has incredible brand value and if you’re an independent promotion anywhere in the world and you can be associated with All Elite Wrestling and something that Tony Khan has created—wow. That’s, to me, instant credibility, instant buzz.”

He continued, “I just think it’s really cool and maybe the Don Callis family is going to take over Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and then I’ll sell it back to D’Amore and Tony Khan. I don’t know. Hey, listen, I’ve executed coups before. I did it in Impact and I’ll do it in AEW when the time is right.”

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling is the most recent addition, with its MLP Mayhem series streaming free for fans in the United States and many other countries. The service launched back in March.
