Drake Maverick Says He Enjoys Working With Triple H: ‘Hunter Always Got Me’

Drake Maverick says that he has always had positive interactions with Triple H and enjoyed working with him. The former WWE on-screen talent now works for the company as a writer and producer, and he talkd about his working relationship with the WWE CCO in an interview with Simon Miller.

Maverick recalled his experience working with Triple H while pitching his storyline with R-Truth where he made “Wanted” posters of the latter as he chased the 24/7 Championship and said that he was open to listening to his ideas.

“I got to TV, and Vince (McMahon) wasn’t there that day, but Hunter had seen this and he was implementing more into the show, from what I hear,” Maverick recalled (per F4W Online). “I think Hunter always got me, somewhat. That was nice to know because I always enjoyed Hunter and our interactions.”

He continued, “Even as a performer, I got what he did. I thought he was a tremendous bad guy. I liked him as a person. Didn’t have much more than business conversations, but he never made me feel like I was an annoyance if I ever approached him to talk.”

Drake Maverick exited WWE in November of 2021, but returned a few months later as a member of the creative team.
