It looks like Drake is working with WWE through his OVO brand on a project, as the rapper teased a forthcoming reveal on social media. OVO posted two Instagram stories on Monday with the date of December 19th in collaboration with WWE.
The first post features a WWE Championship hanging from the turnbuckles, while the second features someone delivering a chokeslam. Both posts have the WWE and OVO logos with the date on them.
It’s not yet clear what the announcement will be. OVO is Drake’s brand, and the posts were made to the company’s general account as opposed to OVO Sound or OVO clothing.
Drake was in attendance at WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto back in March. The appearance came just weeks after he was publicly dunked on by Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl halftime show. As part of his performance, Lamar included “Not Like Us” and included the lines “Hey Drake, I hear you like ’em young” and “Trying to strike a chord, and it’s probably A minor!” Drake filed a defamation lawsuit against his own label UMG over the song, which was ultimately dismissed.
