During a recent interview with Fox News’ Outkick, WWE Superstar and former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre spoke about his new movie, Agent of Shadows. He was also asked about his in-ring return.
McIntyre answered coyly, teasing, “We’ll see.” He stated, “We’ll see, you know. I’m as big as I’ve ever been. I’m 285 right now. And I’m 10 pounds bigger than I was for Agent of Shadows. I’m in the best shape of my life. I posted myself running the ropes the other day, you know, keeping myself in ring shape.” He continued, “I’m always ready to go. I think it got like over 8 million views, just bouncing off the ropes a few times, across my social media platforms. But right now, I’m focused on Hollywood Drew. So, we’ll see. We will see. I’m not giving anything away.”
As he mentioned in the interview, McIntyre shared a video on Sept. 25 showing him running the ropes in a ring. It’s unknown when McIntyre will be making his WWE TV return. McIntyre last appeared on WWE TV at WrestleMania 42, losing to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match on Night 1.
Agent of Shadows is the inaugural WWE microdrama series premiering on October 23 through ReelShort and social media platforms. McIntyre is also set to appear in the upcoming Highlander remake and The Last Druid.
