El Desperado Suffers Back Injury, Pulled From NJPW Show

NJPW pulled El Desperado from their show on Sunday due to a back injury. The promotion announced on Sunday that the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion would be missing their show last night due to the injury.

Desperado competed at NJPW Shimonoseki Impact, teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura to defeat TMDK. Details on the injury were not disclosed.

It is not clear how long El Desperado will be out of action. He is scheduled for a four-way match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20. He will face Kosei Fujita, Taiji Ishimori, and SHO for a shot at the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
