El Hijo Del Vikingo Undergoing Another Knee Surgery This Week

In a new video posted on his Instagram account, AAA star El Hijo Del Vikingo announced that he’s set to undergo another knee surgery this week. The former AAA Mega Champion was previously sidelined with a knee injury earlier this year.
He wrote in the caption of his video (via Google Translate), “Unfortunately, tomorrow Mr HDLV will undergo another knee surgery. Thank you all for your support.”
Vikingo suffered the injury while prepping for a match against EK Prosper on WWE NXT earlier in June. He later underwent surgery in July. It was later reported that he suffered a torn ACL, with a recovery time of about nine months.
As a result of the injury, Vikingo was forced to relinquish the AAA Latin American Title. A Fatal 4-Way bout was held to crown a new champion at Ola de Calor. La Parka won the bout, becoming the new champion.
