Eric Bischoff says he isn’t sold on the notion that Vince McMahon plans to return to being a public figure, including any return to TKO or WWE. McMahon has, of course, been largely out of the public eye since he was forced out of TKO and WWE due to Janel Grant’s sexual assault and sex trafficking lawsuit that was filed in January of 2024. That suit is heading to private arbitration now, which has led to some speculation that McMahon could return once it’s fully settled.

Bischoff expressed skepticism about the idea on his 83 Weeks podcast. Talking about the notion, Bischoff questioned what the benefit would be for McMahon and was particularly skeptical of McMahon’s likeliness to return to TKO in some capacity. You can see highlights below (per Cultaholic):

On McMahon Potentially Returning To the Public Eye:

“Everybody is kind of like assuming Vince wants to get back in the spotlight. I’m not sold on that. I highly doubt that we’re going to see a high-profile Vince McMahon. We’ll see him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes some smaller appearances in WWE, Hall of Fame-type of appearances, but he’s not going to be on regular programming. I don’t see a storyline with him. I don’t see him being a face of the company in any way, shape or form. The baggage that he has with him, regardless of how these things settle out, outweighs the benefit.”

On McMahon Rejoining the TKO Board:

“I don’t know the rest of the board, right? I don’t know Ari Emanuel. I don’t know any of them. It’s hard to really say. From my perspective, I don’t see that either. I see that being even more remote. What added value does Vince McMahon bring to the board? He doesn’t. He brings baggage. He’s not Harvey Weinstein, he’s not quite there. He’s not Bill Cosby, but he’s in the same neighborhood. It’s the same zip code.”
