Excalibur Closes AEW Dynamite With Pride Month Message: ‘Fix Your Hearts’
Excalibur ended last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite with a reference in support of Pride Month. June is Pride Month and last night’s show saw the AEW commentator end the broadcast with “For Tax, Excalibur, Fix your hearts or die, this is All Elite Wrestling!”
The quote is in reference to the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks that aired on Showtime. Series creator David Lynch played FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole in the series and was speaking to his colleague Denise Bryson (David Duchovny), who had transitioned between the timeline of the original series and the revival. Cole told Bryson, “When you became Denise, I told all of your colleagues, those clown comics, to fix their hearts or die.”
You can see the two clips spliced together in the below tweet.
On behalf of 411, Happy Pride to all who celebrate.
Excalibur sighed off of the first Dynamite of Pride Month with : "FIX YOUR HEARTS OR DIE! THIS IS ALL ELITE WRESTLING!"
Which is a peaks reference where a character played by the late David Lynch said it it while standing up for a transgender colleague! pic.twitter.com/0CgTUfD8MS
