Finn Balor vs. Tama Tonga Added to Tonight’s WWE SmackDown

Another match has been added to tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, with Finn Balor set to take on Tama Tonga in singles competition.
Balor and the duo of Tama and Talla Tonga have been involved in backstage segments in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, Finn appreciated Tama for finally making his own decisions after he and Talla walked out on Solo Sikoa.
Last Friday night, Tama approached Finn backstage and noted that he had asked his elders about his next course of action. As it turned out, it was a setup, as Talla Tonga blindsided Finn and laid him out. Tama then told Balor that he was closing the book on everything from his past and that he was “next.”
WWE has since announced via its website that Finn Balor and Tama Tonga will go one-on-one tonight.
“No longer a member of The MFTs, Tama Tonga will go head-to-head with Finn Bálor,” the preview read.
The July 10, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown will emanate from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and you can check out the updated lineup below:
– Finn Balor vs. Tama Tonga
– US Champion Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes in a non-title match
