Latest on AEW Status of Former New Day Members Kofi & Austin Creed Ahead of All In: London

A new report has shed light on the AEW status of former New Day duo Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed (FKA Xavier Woods). As noted, Kofi and the former Xavier Woods exited WWE this past May after rejecting a restructured deal offered by TKO. The duo has since been speculated to end up in All Elite Wrestling. The duo is set for Jericho Cruise this November.

Earlier this week, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Kofi and Austin Creed are AEW-bound. In this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), Dave Meltzer noted that the former WWE Superstars have been expected to end up in AEW ever since they rejected taking a 50 percent pay cut. Meltzer further added that AEW EVPs The Young Bucks have been wanting to feud with Kofi and the former Xavier Woods for years.

Meltzer also touched on a segment featuring Swerve Strickland, The Demand, The Lethal Swirl, and World Trios Champions Hangman Page and Brodido from this week’s Dynamite. With The Lethal Swirl failing to upstage Page and Brodido as champs on Collision, Meltzer said a three-way match for the Trios Title is likely at All In: London, with the former New Day duo rumored to partner with Strickland.
