Frenchy Bernard Passes Away
– According to an obituary on YourDailyJournal.com, Frenchy Bernard passed away in his home on September 16. Bernard wrestled, refereed, managed, and worked behind the scenes for a number of wrestling territories over the course of his career. He was a close friend and confidante of WWE Hall of Famer, Andre the Giant, and also managed Andre’s career. Bernard was born on June 20, 1936. He was 77. In 1980, Bernard and his wife Jackie moved to North Carolina with Andre and he remained as a wrestling promoter there until his retirement in 1994.
