As a wrestler, Goldberg isn’t the first name that comes to mind when one thinks of range. Like Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior, he was known mainly for power moves and a couple of signature finishers. In the post-wrestling business world, however, range is something he values greatly, as he stated in an interview at the Memphis in May barbecue world championships.
“You always have to look at the positives of every opportunity and um you like to you have to show range in your life, right?” he said. “Because you’re more available to more opportunities. Not many people know I’m an animal lover. Not many people know I’m a cook. Not many people know I can work on my cars, but these are passions of mine that could possibly be a career. And you know, you just put your attention towards you focus on something and you try to be the best at it.”
Goldberg recently became CEO and spokesperson for the outdoor/prepper gear company Patriot Tactical, and that turns out to have opened another door for him. “The reality is that the further your range is, the more things that fall in between that range that you can accomplish and that you can do and you can put your effort towards like Patriot Tactical,” he said. “I’m trying to raise awareness for a company that, you know, years ago people may not have thought that I would be attached to, but I’m an outdoorsman and, you know, right now [my son] Gage and I are up for the possibility of doing an outdoor show on Discovery Channel.”
We’ll have to see if he can maintain a new streak against wild game.
