Grayson Waller Returns To WWE NXT, Declares Intent To Win NXT Championship

Grayson Waller is back in WWE NXT, making his return on this week’s show with the NXT Championship on his mind. Tuesday night’s show opened with Waller coming down to the ring to cut a promo, making his return to WWE TV for the first time since his allies in the New Day exited the company at the start of May.

Waller spoke about his career and how he made his way to the main roster, but ended up carrying “240 pounds of idiot” in Austin Theory and said that during the last year he was pretending he was at a funeral, but the only thing dying was his career.

Waller then spoke about how he needs to win the NXT Championship in order to get rid of his demons and that he’s coming for Cruz Montana, who he called someone who will be forgotten when there’s a “shiny new toy” six weeks from now. He took another shot at Montana when he said that being the best in TNA in 2026 is like being the best at the YMCA.

Waller then refused to wrap up his promo and took shots at the men’s roster on NXT, saying that the women were running laps around them. He said he would take every opportunity as he starts to remind himself who he is, before his mic was cut.
