The Headbangers Blind Rank Their Top 5 Tag Team Finishers

In a new video from the WWE Vault, former WWE Tag Team Champions, the Headbangers (Mosh and Trasher), blind-ranked their Top 5 Favorite Tag Team Finishers. You can view that newly revealed clip below.

For the video, Mosh and Thrasher were both given five finishing moves, which they then slotted into their Top 5 rankings. For his Top 5, Mosh picked the following:

1. Doomsday Device (Legion of Doom’s Hawk & Animal)
2. PowerPlex (Power & Glory’s Hercules & Paul Roma)
3. The 3-D (The Dudley Boyz’s Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley)
4. Total Elimination (The Eliminators’ Perry Saturn & John Kronus)
5. The Steiner Bulldog (The Steiner Bros., Scott Steiner & Rick Steiner)

Thrasher’s Top 5 ranked as follows:

1. Doomsday Device (Legion of Doom’s Hawk & Animal)

The Headbangers Signed a WWE Legends Deals in 2023

Back in May 2023, Glenn Ruth (aka Thrasher) revealed that the Headbangers signed a WWE Legends deal, or a WWE Nostalgia Agreement, allowing WWE to use their likeness for licensing and merchandising.

The new nostalgia agreement has since allowed the former tag champs to appear in WWE video games and new digital content like the above video. They’ve also received new action figures from WWE toy partner, Mattel. Mattel later released a WWE Elite action-figure two-pack of the Headbangers, which is now available on Mattel Creations’ website.

The Headbangers held the WWE Tag Team Titles on one occasion, winning them in a Four-way Elimination Match at WWE Ground Zero: In Your House in September 1997. They lost them four weeks later to The Godwinns. Also, Thrasher very briefy became WWE Hardcore Champion during the Hardcore Battle Royal that took place at WrestleMania 2000 in April of that year.

Additionally, The Headbangers appeared in WWE 2K24 as part of a DLC pack. They are also playable characters in WWE 2K25 as part of the legends roster.
