Hikaru Shida emerges victorious in her maiden defense of the AEW TBS Championship.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Collision saw Hikaru Shida defend her recently won title against Harley Cameron.

Cameron was up against it right from the outset as Shida ambushed her before the bell rang. The defending champion hit her with a fisherwoman’s suplex after the match officially began for a near fall.

Harley eventually rallied back with rapid-fire Wrath punches and the Shining Wizard for a near fall. After exchanging pinfalls, Hikaru Shida applied the Ankle Lock, but Harley managed to recover and responded with a kick to her opponent’s face.

After failing to put Cameron away with a knee to the face and a modified Suplex, Shida got the job done with the modified Bow & Arrow submission as Harley ultimately tapped out.

Shida continued to attack Cameron after the match before Queen Aminata came to the former Women’s World Tag Team Champion’s rescue, forcing the champ to retreat.

Shida’s reign currently stands at 11 days. She won the then-vacant championship by winning the Survival of the Fittest match on the July 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
