Hunter’s AEW Collision Review 8.15.2026

The first round of the AEW Continental Challenge Cup concludes tonight on COLLISION! Here is the current pool for round two:

Tonight we will see members of the Don Callis Family COLLIDE when Brian Cage takes on HECHICEROOOOOOO. Similarly, Conglomeration members and long-time partners Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly go at it! The match I and I’m sure many others are most excited for though is “The Wrestler” Katsoyuri Shibata versus Nigel McGuinness!

Our commentators tonight are Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Paul Wight!

WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP: “Hangman” Adam Page, Bandido, and Brody King vs Lethal Twist (Blake Christian, Lee Johnson, and Jay Lethal

Lethal Twist earned this title match by losing all the time on AEW TV. C’mon, at least have the champs issue an open challenge. Schiavone claims that Jay Lethal has “turned the fortunes around” for Lethal Twist lol.

Hangman and Blake start off. Should tackle takes Blake down, but he nips up while holding Hanger’s foot. Headlock, Blake tries a leapfrog, caught and slammed down. Christian makes a tag. Lee Johnson and Jay Lethal try some tandem offense, but Hangman takes them both out. Hangman hits the apron and delivers a senton! Bandido tagged in, he nails one of his own on the prone Johnson. Tag to Brody King. WOOF! Lee Johnson smartly rolls out of the way, so Brody charges in and hits a running senton.

Good, Bad, and the Ugly are in control. Bandido is legal. However, the ROH World champ is sent into the heel corner! Blake and Johnson pound away in the corner. Now Blake rips at the mask of Bandido. Off the ropes! Bandido with a handspring, lands on his feet, FINGER GUN TO THE FOREHEAD OF BLAKE! Flying headscissors from Bandido! Johnson tagged in, Bandido looks for the gorilla press, can’t get it. Johnson sets Bandido into a tree of woe while Jay Lethal hits a sliding dropkick to the feet of Brody King! Christian with a headscissors on Hangman! The heels are in control!

*Commercial Break*

We come back to Bandido breaking free and making the hot tag to Brody King! Brody is CLEANING HOUSE! All the Lethal Twist members in the corner and Brody avalanches then… THEN HITS THE CANNONBALL! Cover to Johnson gets two, Johnson kicks out. Brody tags in the Hangman. Hanger to the top as Brody holds Johnson! Johnson wriggles out and sends Brody into the corner, Hangman dives over. Hangman sends Johnson to the apron, Johnson on his feet, Hanger with a springboard lariat! And then a flying bodypress over the top rope! JAY LETHAL with a high kick to Hanger. Irish whip reversed! Lethal into the barricade, Bandido charges in with a splash! Champs now back in control as the crowd WOOFs for Brody.

Blake Christian is prone in a steel chair and Brody does his big barricade splash! Hangman climbs the barricade… no, he goes higher! The stairs at the Palms! MOONSAULT! Back in the ring, Hanger with another moonsault to Lee Johnson! Johnson kicks out! Here comes the MOST WANTED! The champs looking for a triple team, but here’s Blake Christian with a dropkick! Hangman decks him! Lethal and Christian low bridge Brody to the floor. Blake with a moonsault, CAUGHT by Brody, but LETHAL with a suicide dive to Brody! Blake has an inverted facelook on Brody, Johnson off the apron with a stomp!

Frog splash from Johnson! 450 from Christian! BOTH men cover Brody and the referee, like an idiot, still counts the pinfall. Brody kicks out. Heels set Brody up in the corner, but Hangman FLIES in with a Buckshot to Blake! Lethal kicked off the apron! X-KNEE to Lee Johnson! Hanger and Brody want to WASH THE DISHES… they toss Lee into Brody! SUPERKICKS! DIVES TO THE OTHER HEELS! BRODY WITH THE PILEDRIVER! One, two, three!

WINNERS: (and still champs) Hangman, Bandido, and Brody
TIME: 12:19
RATING: **3/4
THOUGHTS: It was fine, but it’s laughable that any AEW fan is expected to take the Lethal Twist seriously, much less 12 minutes. Blake Christian is talented but it doesn’t matter when he loses 100% of his matches in AEW. Lee Johnson is bland and uninteresting, while Jay Lethal’s best days are behind him. Some fun work in this one but just an overlong showcase for the champs to get to the post-match.

Ricochet walks out to spoil the champion’s celebration. Ricochet gets some heeeeat. GOA from behind attack the Trios champs! Bishop Kaun and Toa Leoni wreak havoc to the champs on the floor as Ricochet watches on. Hanger tries to fight them both off, but Lethal and Blake Christian are back in. NOW Ricochet comes down, that sleaze. Brody puts his body over Hangman! It’s a five on one now! Hangman is up and SLAMMED down by the GOA! Blake is putting Bandido to sleep while Brody appears out.

“When you are IN demand, you can MAKE demands.” Ricochet laughs and drops the mic. The heels pose over the fallen World Trios Champions. So do the Demand get a rematch at ALL IN or before? Swerve Strickland is clearly getting involved, will it be a multi-team match or Swerve and WHO? vs Brody, Bandido, and Hangman?

* We go backstage to Lexi with Don Callis, Brian Cage, Lance Archer, and HECHICERRRRROOOOO. Don insults Lexi, then talks about competition. Hechicero and Cage shake hands, with Cage making a comment in Spanish! Callis says 100% the Callis family wins. He looks at Archer and says “tonight, nobody dies.” LOL

*Commercial Break*

Lexi Nair is with the CONGLOMERATION! Orange says he’s feeling pressure because he could face either Kyle or Roddy in the next round. “Or not.” Kyle talks about studying Roderick, becoming enemies, Roddy becoming his mentor and friend. No matter what happens in the ring, that won’t ever change. Roddy says he hasn’t ever treated Kyle differently along the way, and that won’t change tonight.

CONTINENTAL CHALLENGE CUP: Brian Cage v HECHICEROOOOOOOO

I love Brian Cage wearing his “Mr. Nevada” bodybuilding medal. It’s so hilariously big. Hechicero kisses his CMLL World title belt!

Lockup to start. Cage with the power advantage, but Hechicero uses his technical game to counter that. They exchange some holds on the mat before Cage sends Hechicero into the corner, then wears him out with punches and chops! Irish whip, Hechicero bounces over Cage! Shoulderblock… Brian Cage goes nowhere! Cage says bring it! Clothesline and The Machine barely moves! Toekick, Hechicero off the rope, looks for a counter, dropkick to the knee puts Brian Cage down! Cover gets only ONE.

“Brian Cage can sneeze and get out of a pinfall.” – Paul Wight

Now the Alchemist of professional wrestling goes to work on the joints. Into the corner, big chop from the CMLL World Heavyweight champion! Charges in, Cage intercepts, fireman’s carry into a DVD! Cage fires up and charges in, eats a foot! But that just angers Brian Cage who chops Hechicero down. Pump kick through the ropes! Hechicero on the apron, Cage on the middle rope. He hooks his man for a suplex and SUPLEXES HECHICERO INTO THE RING FROM THE APRON OVER THE TOP! Flex those biceps, man!

*Commercial Break*

Hechicero is on the apron but holding onto Brian Cage! Holy shit, Cage just MUSCLES Hechicero over the ropes and hits a hanging DDT! That gets two. Big sit-out powerbomb gets two! Hechicero with a funky leg hold, then falls down. It’s like a reverse figure-four as best I can describe! THE MAD SCIENTIST! Cage gets the ropes. Hechicero with a running knee to the face — CAGE WITH A DISCUS LARIAT! MEAT SLAPPING! Both men are down!

They exchange blows as they gain to their feet. Cage with a thrust kick! Looks for the DRILL CLAW! Hechicero escapes! Gets the boot up, flying guillotine from HECHICEROOOOOO! ONE, TWO, NO! That was wild! Hechicero gets a pinning combination on Cage, he folds over the man, one, two, THREE!

WINNER: HECHICERRRROOOOOOO
TIME: 9:31
RATING: ***1/4
THOUGHTS: This was a really fun clash of styles, the power game of Cage vs the technical creativity of Hechicero. The fun of the Continental Classic and now the Challenge Cup is getting matches that would not otherwise make any sense to hold. Crowd was into it and definitely got behind Hechicero!

* Darby Allin appears to be in a train yard. He talks about how once, he thought he had to change himself, sacrifice what he was, to succeed. But then he met STING. Sting taught Darby that he didn’t have to change a thing. Kevin Knight, hope you like it at the top, because that’s a shaky foundation. Don Callis Family? When Darby thinks of family, he thinks about STING, he thinks about STEVEN BORDERN. He gives his word to Knight: from now until ALL IN, no sneak attacks. No explosives. But after ALL IN, Kevin Knight won’t recognize himself in the mirror because Darby is going to BEAT HIM WITHIN AN INCHE OF HIS LIFE. Excellent vignette from Darby, he’s working his ass off to sell this feud. Falls count ANYWHERE in Wembley Stadium…

*Commercial Break*

* THE RASCALZ are… in a “smoky” small room lol. Dez and Wentz are happy they won last week, but Reed reminds them he lost. He’s looking forward to the tag match they set up tonight. Wentz: “We thought YOU set up the match?” And from the bottom of the shot up pops LIO RUSH! “HE DID!” The Rascalz are weirded out but are up for it. “IT’S FINE!”

BOW WOW! Sorry, I mean, BOW DOWN!

DIVINE DOMINION vs Rachelle Riveter and Masserati

There is a porn star named Maserati, so… she might want to rehink that name.

Lena Kross and I believe Rachelle Riveter start it off. Riveter applies a rear waistlock that goes nowhere. Tries a tijeras, caught! Kross with a side slam. Tag to Megan Bayne! Kross with a forearm and elbow combo in the corner. Running kick! Bayne with one! RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX sends Rachelle ALL the way to the opposite corner. Masserati is in and tries some strikes. Megan Bayne CLOBBERS her with a lariat. The champs try their finisher, Riveter breaks it up. Divine Dominion with STEREO stalling suplexes! And now, here we go — DIVINE INTERVENTION! That’s that.

WINNERS: Divine Dominion
TIME: 2:12
RATING: n/r
THOUGHTS: Delicious squash. It’s annoying that Schiavone keeps saying things like “no one has had a tag title run like the Divine Dominion!” They’re the second champs ever, man.

The Brawling Birds rush the ring to take it to Kross and Bayne! Bayne sent to the outside! Kross eats stereo headbutts from Jamie Hayter and Alex WINDSAH! The Birds reposition the steel ringsteps and look to SMASH Megan Bayne into them, but Kross pulls Bayne to the safety! The tag champs think better of continuing the fight and head up the ramp! Hit the Birds’ awesome music! 15 DAYS TO THE TITLE MATCH AT WEMBLEY!

* Backstage from Dynamite! Zayda Steele is set to be interviewed by Renee Paquette. Mercedes Mone laughs her way into the scene and talks shit. Zayda doesn’t like what Mone did to WILLOW, so Mone knocks her down and says you want to talk about respect? I’ll see you on Saturday!

CONTINENTAL CHALLENGE CUP: Nigel McGuinness v Katusyori Shibata

Oooooh baby. It’s neither guy in their prime, but this should be a terrific wrestling match that we’ve never seen.

Shibata offers a handshake. Nigel hesitates, but accepts. Clean handshake! Shibata works wrist control. Headscissors by Nigel. Shibata slips free, torques the ankle. Nigel flips around, crosses his legs, snatches a headlock. Shibata quickly counters that into a headscissors of his own. Schiavone notes that this is Nigel’s sixth AEW match. Nigel escapes again, but Shibata counters it out into a mount. Shibata gets a lateral press for two. Arm wringer. Nigel gets to his feet, twists around and out, looks for a side Russian leg sweep? No, uses that to get to a cravate. This is challenging to fully cover and I’m not doing it justice. Some more go-rounds, Nigel gets the arm behind Shibata’s back. Shibata gets the ropes… oh ho ho. And Nigel kicks the ropes to jar Shibata! The Wrestler is now PISSED. Snapmare — BIG kick to the spine! Yep, Shibata is now pissed. Nigel says do it again! Shibata off the ropes, PK, Nigel ducks! Nigel is too please with himself, because Shibata NAILS a forearm to the back! GREAT sequence.

*Commercial Break*

We’re back and they are trading strikes. Nigel feints with the forearm, and STOMPS Shibata’s foot! Off the ropes, but Shibata grabs a Guillotine choke! Nigel is in trouble! His arms going limp! Nigel again stomps the foot, and uses a SNAP suplex to get out of the hold. Nigel grabs a side headlock. European uppercut! Side headlock, Shibata backs into the ropes, then gets a sleeper hold! Shibata drops down to the canvas! Nigel is struggling, but Shibata is locked in. Wait, Nigel hooks his legs around Shibata’s ankles, causing Shibata enough pain to reach for the ropes to break. Nigel waits… because “I HAVE TIL FIVE, REFEREE!”

Into the corner, Nigel with a measured European uppercut. Another. SHIBATA FIRES UP oh no Nigel casually elbows his man in the face. Haha. Shibata elevated onto the top turnbuckle. Nigel is looking for the Tower of London! Shibata blocks! Nigel runs out and back, but eats foot! The sleeper is back in, Jesus, Shibata’s forearms are strong. Shibata releases the hold to hit a spine kick. PK — Nigel kicks the ANKLE of the incoming Shibata! Shibata clutching his ankle! Nigel looks for an Ankle Lock! Shibata looks for the ropes, Nigel pulls him back. Shibata rolls through. Nigel adjusts and crosses the legs over. Shibata breaks free, Nigel off the ropes, clothesline ducked. Off the ropes again, Nigel gets the rebound lariat! Shibata ducks! Nigel taken down, SHIBATA FINALLY NAILS THE PK! Shibata wants a cross armbreaker, Nigel rolls into a mount. Open handed strikes. Shibata rolls it over and starts MUGGING Nigel with open hand shots. Back to the sleeper. Shibata leaps onto Nigel’s back. Centre of the ring! Shibata falls back, but wait! NIGEL rolls backwards, Shibata’s shoulders are down, ONE, TWO, THREE! Commentary is ecstatic!

WINNER: Nigel McGuinness
TIME: 12:27
RATING: ***3/4
THOUGHTS: Man, I would love to see these two run this back at a later date. Just a superb technical exchange between respected veterans. PRO WRESTLING.

* Renee is backstage with WILL OSPREAY! Will wonders why Don Callis is still claiming his success and getting into his business. Will says there’s a phonecall he has to take to his boys in Japan, the United Empire. He’s just unsure how Callum Newman is going to respond.

*Commercial Break*

EIGHT-MAN TAG: The Rascalz and Lio Rush vs Jeaux Braxtron, Frescomatic, Watson, and Ice Williams

Sorry, I missed the opening of this. The Rascalz dive to the outside on three of the four opponents! Lio Rush slithers towards his opponent. Wentz on top! SWANTON! Reed! 450! Dez! TORNILLO! Tag into Lio Rush! Lio has PURPLE goo in his mouth! Lio goes to the top but thinks better of it, slides in and grabs a neck submission! The Rascalz hesitantly shake the hands of Lio Rush as Aubrey Edwards raises their hands in celebration. Lio gollums up the ramp alongside the Rascalz!

WINNERS: Rascalz & Lio Rush
TIME: missed part
RATING: n/r
THOUGHTS: Pretty fun squash! Lio Rush and the Rascalz if they go forward with it is a fun grouping! Lio with purple gear and goo added to it. The Rascalz win again!

Wait a minute… that’s the music of the HURT SYNDICATE! Bobby and Shelton stare down Lio Rush and the Rascalz. The moment passes without conflict, the Hurt Syndicate will be in action NEXT. Here come their partners, SHANE TAYLOR PROMOTIONS!

EIGHT-MAN TAG: Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Shane Taylor, and Lee Moriarty v Sonico, Juli Montana, Ro Montana, and Jake Redondo

People gonna get hurt. Shelton and Bobby charge the opponents corner! LASHLEY SPEARS A HAM AND EGGER ON THE FLOOR! The masked guy gets suplexed by SHelton! The bigger guy eats Shelton’s running corner knee, THEN gets suplexed! Shane and Lee are still chilling in the corner. LASHLEY WITH ANOTHER SPEAR ON THE FLOOR! Carli Bravo and Shawn Dean trash talk as “WE HURT PEOPLE” chants pick up.

ONE jobber is left, the big R on his tights makes me think he’s Redondo. And then… MVP, Bobby, and Shelton TAKE OFF! Their job is done! Lee dives outside onto the other three opponents. In the ring, Jake Redondo takes a shot at the BAD MAN. Shane clobbers him. PACKAGE PILEDRIVER! The pinfall is academic.

WINNERS: Hertz and STP
TIME: 2:09
RATING:
THOUGHTS: Now THAT was a squash. More like an absolute mugging. Shelton and Bobby wreaked havoc and left! Not quite sure what the purpose if the whole hiring of the Hurt Syndicate was, though. What, STP just wanted to win against four local talents? Anyway, fun violence.

* Close-up on Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa talks about the all-important Casino Gauntlet match happening at ALL IN Wembley, with a world title shot on the line. Andrade and MJF may be the first two entrants in the gauntlet. “If you believe in a god, pray I’m not number three.” Fuck yeah.

Mercedes Mone v Zayda Steele

Mercedes tries to dominate the early going but Zayda has some good counters to answer with! Zayda with double-knees to Mone in the ropes! That gets two. Christopher Daniels shouts encouragement on the floor. The Fallen Angel could get a better outfit than Wal-Mart dress clothes. Zayda tries to keep the momentum going but Mercedes gets her big drop into double-knees, then an insulting pinfall attempt. Snapmare. Rear chinlock. Zayda fights up to her feet. Gets a wheelbarrow into a pinfall for two. Mone with a dropkick to take the advantage back.

*Commercial Break*

Zayda fights up from Mone’s hold as the crowd chants for both women. Zayda with a sloppy stunner. Off the ropes, LOU THESZ PRESS! Zayda with FISTS OF FURY! Zayda holds serve, a series of right hands followed by a reverse kick. Irish whip, reversed, ZAYDA WITH AN STO! Mone begs off to the corner. Zayda charges in with a sideways splash! To the top, CROSS BODY! ONE, TWO, Mone gets out! Zayda looks for something but Mone gets out BACKSTABBER. Now the MONE MAKER! Right into the Statement Maker! Zayda holds on but has to tap. Mone sticks her fingers into Zayda’s mouth to force a smile during the hold!

WINNER: Mercedes Mone
TIME: 8:12
RATING: ***
THOUGHTS: Would have liked to see the commercial-free match. Zayda is still rough in spots, but she has great fire. Mone was generous and made Zayda look good before decisively shutting it down. Good match, good post-match angle to keep building to the World Title match at Wembley.

Post-match, Christopher Daniels checks on Zayda. MONE WHIPS HIM WITH THE OWEN HART BELT! Again! Now Mone is whipping Zayda… HERE COMES WILLOW NIGHTINGALE! Mercedes Mone heads for the hills. Willow is FIRED UP and wants to fight Mone RIGHT NOW!! Mone feints into the ring, then bails out. “HEY MERCEDES! I’M STILL SMILING, BITCH!” Hit Willow’s music! The world champ hugs Zayda Steele as Mone sneers.

* Last Wednesday after Dynamite, Jack Perry is still bloody on a stairwell. “I AIN’T GOT TIME TO BLEED.” He says it might not look like it right now, but he WILL be AEW World Champion. Thank you, Moxley, for showing what it takes and the level Jack needs to get to. He wants to face EVERYONE who has been to that level. Samoa Joe, Hangman, Kenny Omega… “you.”

Jack sees someone off-screen, and the camera pulls back to… SWERVE FUCKIN’ STRICKLAND. Swerve laughs. He’s beat all of Perry’s friends. Swerve says Perry isn’t quite ready to walk amongst “killers like us.” Jack holds up a BLOODY red hand. “I think I am.” Swerve nods. “Careful. Bringing a knife… to a Swerve fight.” Swerve exits up the stairs as the bloody Perry looks on. Damn, that was a fantastic segment.

*Commercial Break*

* KENNY OMEGA is backstage. He calls the Don Callis Family the “crapstain on the underpants that is my life.” LMAO. Kenny doesn’t like Don, and he doesn’t like bullies. Next week, pick any three guys… Kenny has two of his friends — THE YOUNG BUCKS are behind Kenny! They have his back.

Christian Cage and Adam Copeland with their tag belts walk in. Cage wants to know what happened back in Mexico. Copeland wonders if they’re distracted, doing this trios match. Matt asks what happened last week when Cope got pinned. HAHAHA. Copeland asks how old Nick is. “You were THREE when I started doing this.” Matt says well, you’re old enough to be our father.

Christian: “Who says I’m not?”

Hahahahah!

“Let me know when you’re done trusting these guys.” Christian walks off, followed by Copeland.

Nick: “He’s not out father…” but there’s a tiny note of doubt. lol

That was a great little segment.

CONTINENTAL CHALLENGE CUP: Kyle O’Reilly v Roderick Strong

Nice to hear both men’s singles themes, the Conglomeration theme is kinda mid. Wight and Excalibur talk about how when you’re in the ring with friends, you tend to hit each other HARDER.

And that’s how we start, Roddy with a THUNDEROUS chop. Kyle with kicks! THEY JUST EXCHANGE BLOWS! To the mat, they wrestle around trying to get the advantage until Roddy backs into the ropes. O’Reilly with a brutal forearm.

Oh, fuck. Tony Schiavone reports that Nigel McGuinness has suffered an injury. More info on Monday with the second round C3 special on YouTube. Fuck!

Sorry, missed some action. They are predictably working snug as hell. Kyle with an arm-breaker. Elbow to the arm, snapmare. Big spine kick! Kyle keeps working on Roderick, Strong counters into a backbreaker! Messiah time! Kyle into the ropes. Roderick with a SICKENING chop. Jesus. ANOTHER. Remember that ROH match where Roddy turned Danielson’s chest into raw meat?

Strong hooks a chinlock, O’Reilly fights up. Roddy off the ropes, O’Reilly looks for a knee, Roddy catches, dumps Kyle over the top! Roddy looks for a dropkick through the ropes, Kyle catches him! Roddy kicks off and tries again, Kyle dodges, Roddy lands on the floor, Kyle with a running knee off the apron, Roddy lifts and slams Kyle on top of the barricade!

*Commercial Break*

Irish whip out of the corner, reversed. Roddy charges, Kyle gets the boot up. Kyle looks for a knee, Strong catches and hits a backbreaker! But Roddy’s ankle gives out! Strong tries for a cover for two. Crowd chants “BOTH THESE GUYS!”

Schiavone insert commentary announces: Ospreay will team with FRANCESO AKIRA and HENARE vs the Don Callis Family on Dynamite! HENARE!

Kitchen sink from O’Reilly takes Roderick down. Strong fights back with a chop. Kyle with a THUD of a kick. Roddy tries a suplex, Kyle counters out, circles around, gets a hammerlock guillotine! Transitions into a sleeper. Strong trying to get both of Kyle’s shoulders on the mat. Kyle looks for an ankle lock, but Strong makes the ropes. Strong on the floor, Kyle on the apron. Kyle with the running knee off the apron!

Back into the ring, O’Reilly climbs the ropes! Strong with a big enziguri staggers the Vancouver native. Roderick sets up… not sure… DROPS KYLE BACK-FIRST ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Now that’s a backbreaker! Two count for Strong. Both men are tired but exchange strikes. O’REILLY WITH A LARIAT folds Roderick in half! BRAINBUSTER! Roddy rolls the shoulder up, Kyle snatches it looking for the cross armbreaker! Ju-jigatame? However you spell it. Roderick loses the grip, Kyle gets the extension, Roddy rolls over! Kyle’s shoulders are on the mat, one, two, Kyle has to release the hold.

Forearms and kicks are exchanged until BOTH MEN go down! Roddy is first up, but again, only two. This match is fantastic. “FIGHT FOREVER” chants. Strong pulls Kyle up, O’Reilly spins out. Another forearm exchange from two sweaty, tired men. Strong looks for the uranage backbreaker, Kyle out, standing switch, they reverse back and forth!! Strong wants the Angle Slam, O’Reilly rolls Roddy over, SNUG PINNING HOLD, ONE, TWO, THREE!

WINNER:
TIME: 12:58
RATING: ****
THOUGHTS: Schiavone says this may have been the best match in the first round of the C3, and I would have to agree. In many ways this was a classic Ring of Honor match. Good pace, felt like a struggle. Hard strikes, fantastic counter-wrestling, and they really played into these two knowing each other very well.

Post-match, Strong SHOVES Kyle O’Reilly down when the latter goes for a handshake. Roddy says sorry, pulls Kyle up, and they embrace. Roddy raises Kyle’s arm in victory, but Roddy is understandably disappointed.

Orange Cassidy comes out to meet his friends and that ends our show.

The wrestlers in the blind draw for round two of the Continental Challenge Cup are:

*Jon Moxley
*Claudio Castignoli
*Eddie Kingston
*Jay White
*Orange Cassidy
*Hechicero
*Roderick Strong
*Nigel McGuinness (likely out due to an injury)

7.0
The final score: review Good
The 411
On one hand, you have three very good-to-excellent matches in the C3. On the other hand, you have THREE squashes on the show, two (both eight-man tag squashes!) back-to-back. The opening trios was fine but the Trios champs shouldn't need 12 minutes to finish Lethal Twist. Mone v Zayda was good and didn't outstay its welcome. That said, both eight-man tags had fun with Lio Rush & the Rascalz interacting, and then Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin absolutely trucking fools. All three C3 matches delivered. Nigel v Shibata rocked, Cage v Hechicero was a cool clash of styles, while Roddy/Kyle delivered in the main event slot with a hard-hitting affair. The note that Nigel McGuinness is apparently injured puts a bit of a damper on the proceedings, but Roddy/Kyle brings this up to a seven.
