Hyan & Maya World Reportedly Getting High Praise Within AEW

Hyan and Maya World are earning high marks internally for their recent AEW appearances, according to a new report. The two independent stars became part of one of the major stories in the last couple weeks when they stepped in to take Miranda Alize and Nixon Newell’s place on the November 8th episode of AEW Collision. The two took on TayJay after Newell and Alize chose not to have the match. It was reported at the time that Hyan and World were praised in AEW for stepping up. According to Fightful Select, the praise has continued and AEW has a lot of interest in continuing to use them.

The outlet reports that the eight-minute match on this past weekend’s Collision was a “direct result” of how they handled the previous week. The two battled Riho and Alex Windsor on Saturday’s show.

Hyan and World are not currently signed to AEW. However, sources indicated that they wouldn’t be surprised to see them signed sooner than later.

Both stars have made appearances for AEW/ROH before the incident. They have each appeared in a handful of matches in ROH, and a few matches each in AEW.
