During a recent interview with SquareFamilyWrestling, TNA Wrestling Knockout star Indi Hartwell discussed the match that made her want to become a wrestler, along with her dream matchups. Hartwell specifically cited Bayley vs. Sasha Banks (aka Mercedes Mone) at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn as the match that made her want to become a pro wrestler.
Hartwell also cited her recent matchup against former AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone as one of her dream matchups. Below are some highlights:
Indi Hartwell on the Match That Made Her Want To Become a Wrestler
“Well, it was my brother that got me into wrestling. But what like really stuck with me was like the larger than life characters and personas that I watched on TV. And then as I got older, Sasha Banks versus Bayley at NXT Takeover Brooklyn, that’s what made me want to become a wrestler.”
On Her Dream Matchup
“So, I did have my dream match actually a few weeks ago against Mercedes Mone. I think my other dream match would have to be against Trish Stratus. She
was my favorite growing up.”
Her Advice to Aspiring Wrestlers
“When I first started wrestling, they told me to just keep my mouth shut and my ears open to just be respectful. So, that’s probably a big piece of advice that I got.”
Indi Hartwell was released by WWE in November 2024, later joining TNA the following spring at TNA Rebellion 2025. She last wrestled in TNA on the December 7 edition of Impact, teaming with Jada Stone and Jody Threat in a losing effort against The Diamond Collective.
