Jade Cargill is the new WWE Women’s Champion. The Storm finally dethroned Tiffany Stratton after previous unsuccessful attempts on tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Tiffany, who had been nursing a bad knee since suffering a brutal attack at the hands of Jade Cargill on last week’s SmackDown, found herself on the back foot right from the outset as she landed on her knee, leading to The Storm attacking it further.
Jade mounted several offenses on Tiffany, including a vicious Chokeslam. The action soon spiraled outside, where Jade charged at The Buff Barbie, only to be sent crashing into the steel steps.
After returning to the ring, Stratton delivered a Swanton Bomb to Jade, but the latter kicked out. The former AEW star eventually got the job done when she hit three Fallaway Slams and followed it up with three Powerbombs before finishing off Tiffany with Jaded.
Tiffany’s reign ends at 302 days. She won the title on the January 3 episode of SmackDown by cashing in her MITB contract on Nia Jax.
