Jake Hager has reportedly undergone a second surgery on his eye to fix an injury he suffered during a Power Slap event. As you may recall, the former AEW and WWE star suffered a TKO loss at Power Slap 23 to Johnny Magna that left him bleeding from the left eye. Hager had to have surgery done due to the injury and now, according to Slap News he underwent a second surgery that was deemed necessary after a follow-up appointment.
The outlet cited Hager’s fiancé Patricia Blackburn in reporting:
“It was discovered this week that Jake had a detached retina, he underwent surgery to reattach, which doctors have said went better than expected.
Send your love and prayers to Jake and Patricia as they navigate a very sensitive and unpredictable recovery”
Hager joined Power Slap in March after having retired from professional wrestling in August of last year. The loss at Power Slap 34 was his third contest for the league; he is currently 1 – 2.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Jake Hager for a quick and full recovery.
