Jake Roberts On the Current WWE Product: ‘Not My Flavor’

Jake Roberts says that WWE’s current product is not to his liking, as much as he respects what they’re doing. The WWE Hall of Famer spoke with Mick Foley and his friend Kenny on The Mick & Kenny Show, and was asked by Kenny for his opinion on the current WWE product as it stands today.

Roberts, who remains under a WWE Legends contract, was as diplomatic as he could be. He said that he appreciates what they’re doing but it’s not his thing.

He also noted that of the current crop of WWE talent, he would have liked to face a fellow snake-nicknamed talent in Randy Orton. You can see the highlights below from the topics:

“Randy Orton. Really wanted to fight the Viper… I think I’m a little past [my] time.”

On the Current WWE Product:

“That would get me in trouble. I don’t — it’s not my flavor, okay? It’s not my flavor. I appreciate what they’re doing, but it’s not the flavor I like.”
