Jake Roberts Urges Tony Khan to ‘Loosen Up The Reins’ & Take Advice for Better Utilization of AEW Talent

As noted, Jake Roberts is back with WWE. After having confirmed his departure from AEW in July 2026, Roberts revealed on The Nick Club Wrestling Hour that he’s re-signed with WWE.

Jake Roberts was asked about the differences between working in both promotions. He said WWE and AEW operate very differently, especially creatively, and then offered advice to Tony Khan.

Jake urged Khan to “loosen up the reins” and take some advice for better utilization of the talented roster that he has at his disposal. Here’s what he said:

“There’s a lot of differences. Creative number one, no doubt. Tony Khan needs to loosen up the reins a little bit and take some advice. He’s got a good product. He’s got a lot of talent there. I think his talent can be used better. Just my own thoughts. I loved working for Tony Khan. They’ll wish you nothing but the best. He’s a sweet guy.”
