A Saturday Night’s Main Event at Madison Square Garden might feel incomplete without the Tribal Chief in attendance. Indeed, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will be there, but completing his appearance will be 2026 NBA Finals MVP, New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson. Brunson is likely to be more over with a New York crowd than Reigns, but we will presumably find out if he “acknowledges” the champ.

Based on comments Brunson made on Nightcap, it seems so. Asked what he expects, Brunson replied, ““What to expect tonight? Honestly, I’m just happy to be surrounded by this aura over here honestly. Just to be out there with him, I think it’s gonna be a great time. But, I’ma follow in his footsteps so obviously he’s The Tribal Chief so I’ma follow suit.” (Credit: Nightcap with h/t to Fightful for the transcription.)

Where does that leave Danhausen, who has been more associate with the Knicks’ championship win than any other WWE superstar? Well, he has his hands full with JD McDonagh in a No-DQ match. It’s possible Brunson could help out in that one, just as Danhausen thinks he helped out at breaking the Knicks’ curse. But Reigns doesn’t like being upstaged…nor, presumably, curses.
