The promotion’s newest fan phenomenon has appeared at games and been given his own jersey. He has hung out with Ben Stiller and Cardi B at the NBA finals. WWE has even given him cobranded Knicks merchandise. Tonight, the Knicks could win the championship for the first time in decades, and if that’s the case, WWE has big plans.

According to Fightful Select’s Q&A, WWE wants to make Danhausen a fixture of promotion in the New York area if the Knicks become champions. Next month, Saturday Night’s Main Event coincides with Fanatics Fest weekend, both in New York, and if the best case scenario happens, Danhausen could host his own championship celebration at the televised event, with more exclusive content and cobranded merchandise for Fanatics Fest attendees. As we saw last night on Smackdown, Danhausen’s team-cursing and un-cursing skills are becoming part of ongoing storylines, with other superstars attempting to bribe him to utilize them on their behalf.

Fightful concluded their news item by throwing a little shade at Danhausen foe The Miz, saying “It should be noted that WWE has no plans for The Miz in that capacity, because Cleveland will never win anything again, probably.”
