Backstage Update on Jay White’s Status Following Injury Scare at AEW Redemption

An update on Jay White’s status following a brutal match at AEW Redemption in Montreal last weekend.

As noted, White and Juice Robinson battled The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay) in a Double Chain Match.

Jay White had an injury scare during the brutal match when he was dropped on his head by Finlay. The Dogs ultimately emerged victorious in that match.

Earlier today, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Jay White is indeed “banged up” coming out of Redemption. However, Johnson noted that AEW sources don’t indicate that he will be out for an extended period.

The Bang Bang Gang leader returned to television after over a year of inactivity (due to hand and shoulder injuries) at June’s Forbidden Door event, attacking Finlay and helping Adam Copeland and Christian Cage retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The match at Redemption was just his third in-ring outing since March 2025.
