Jay White Returns, Helps Cage & Cope Defeat The Dogs At AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Jay White is back, making his return at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door to help Adam Copeland & Christian Cage put down The Dogs. Copeland and Cage put their AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line against David Finlay and Clark Connors at Sunday night’s PPV in what turned into a hard-fought war between the two teams.

The champions were in control in the early goings, but a sidestepped charge sent Cage into the ringpost. Connors and Finlay then targeted Cage’s arm, leaving him in peril until he got the hot tag to Copeland.

The battle continued until late in the match, Finlay nailed Cage with a shillelagh. He took aim at Copeland and the lights went out; when they came back the Bang Bang Gang was on the stage. That distracted Finlay and Jay White came in behind him, hitting Finlay with a Blade Runner. Cope then hit a spear for the pinfall and victory in a little under 17 minutes. Jay White has been out of action since suffering a hand injury in March of 2025. He has teased returning on several occasions.

Copeland and Cage’s AEW World Tag Team Championship reign has now reached 36 days. They won the titles from FTR at AEW Double or Nothing.
