Jazwares appears to have concluded its business with AEW, with a new report stating that their AEW team has been laid off in full. Wrestling action figure collector Kyle Peterson revealed the news in his latest YouTube video rounding up wrestling toy news.
Peterson said in the video, “If you’re a fan of AEW and Jazwares, late Friday, I got word that unfortunately the entire AEW Jazwares team over there at Jazwares were laid off on Friday.”
The two companies have been working together for six years, with AEW first announcing the partnership in February of 2020. The first figures from the deal came in the Unrivaled collection, which arrived in August.
Since that date, the toy company has released a number of different toy lines including the Vault, Supreme and Unmatched collections. Neither company has commented publicly on the matter, and there’s no word as to whether AEW will be going to a new company for action figures.
