Jazz says her first PPV match at ECW Heatwave ’99 ranks as one of her most memorable bouts of all-time. The WWE, TNA, and NWA alumna made her wrestling debut in ECW and fought Jason Knight at Heatweave ’99. She worked intermittently for ECW under it shut down and then went to WWE. Her career extended well past her run there and included stints in TNA, SMW and the NWA, the latter of which saw her reign as NWA World Women’s Champion for 948 days.

Jazz made an appearance on Ring the Belle discussing some of her top career moments. You can see some highlights below:

On her First PPV Match at ECW Heatwave ’99:

“This was my actually my first pay-per-view ever. A lot of people don’t know this but I only trained — I would say six to eight months before getting a job with ECW. So this is pretty huge for me, right here. This is [my] first big match, pay-per-view match, working Jason Knight. Probably one of my most memorable matches of all time.”

On Her Promo At Backlash 2003:

“Second time I became champion. Was that one of those moments when I said, ‘The bitch is back and the bitch is Black?'” I don’t know who came up with that slogan, but you know… I did not. It was on a piece of paper.”

On the Promo Being Viewed as Empowering:

“It was just during those moments where my husband Rodney Mack was doing the matches where it was the ‘White Boy Challenge, and Teddy Long was out there talking about ‘Kill Whitey.’ So I guess it just kind of fit what we were doing. It was a thugging and bugging movement, what we were doing. And I guess it kind of just fit. And yeah, the bitch is Black and the bitch is back.”
