JBL Says Sid Vicious Should Have Been In WWE Hall Of Fame A Long Time Ago

On the latest episode of Something To Wrestle With, JBL talked about Sid Vicious going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year and why the induction was delayed. WWE announced last week that Sid would be a Legacy inductee in the 2026 Hall of Fame class.
JBL said the issue could have to do with some old animosity from Vince mcmahon and how Sid was hard to work with. You can check out some highlights below:
On Why It Took Sid So Long:
“I don’t know if it was some old animosity with — you know, Sid was his own man. And Sid was a good guy, by the way. I really like Sid. I traveled with Sid a little bit, roomed with Sid once. He’s a good dude, he was a good guy. But he could be difficult to work with, I believe, like a lot of these guys could. Especially back in the day, a lot of guys could. I don’t know if Vince still had a little animosity from that or what it was.”
On Sid Deserving the Spot: “Everything about Sid and everything about his resume says that he should be in the Hall of Fame, and should have been in the Hall of Fame a long time ago.”
On Sid’s Presence:
“That guy had a presence that was just unbelievable. I mean, it was earth-shattering, his presence. First time I saw him, I believe was at Kerry von Ericj’s memorial… I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, look at this guy.’ He had those huge traps, that incredible body, and Sid just had a presence about him that was just shocking when he came out.”
