Je’Von Evans Wants Another Match With Oba Femi, Speaks on People Looking Up to Him

Je’Von Evans has become one the most popular Superstars on WWE’s roster during his relatively brief time with the company. Fans love him, critics want him to be featured even more. He’s already been in the ring with the likes of Oba Femi during their time together in NXT, and one expects we’ll see that pairing on the main roster as well.

Je’Von Evans spoke with WrestleRant during the weekend of SummerSlam about being looked up to by the young folks and wanting another chance to compete with Oba Femi.

On Already Being Looked Up To:

“It’s insane to think about. I was not expecting to become somebody that that kids look up to at a very young age, especially very soon. Like I’ll be expecting all this to be happening at least by like 25 or 27, you feel me? But now that I’m able to, you know, give back and be able to be that leader for the younger generation right now, it’s a blessing. I’m honored.”

On Wanting Another Match With Oba Femi:

“I feel like that is a match that I do need because I just haven’t beat him one-on-one and I haven’t got the opportunity to run it back. And uh you know, and let’s be real, okay? And a lot of people don’t know this, but there’s only two people that have pinned Oba longer than 3 seconds. Brock Lesnar, and Je’Von Evans. It’s crazy to think about, you feel me? Cuz every time I pinned him, either the ref got involved like at (NXT Heavwave 2025) or somebody got involved. That shows y’all. Come on now. We can run it back. Everybody knows, man, that I got his phone number. So eventually we can run it back and see what happens.”
