Jey Uso Considers Himself a ‘Top Guy’ In WWE, Admits He Gets Blown Up In Matches

Jey Uso believes in his “Main Event” nickname, expressing his belief that he is a top guy in WWE on Cody Rhodes’ podcast. Uso had a breakout year in 2025 as he won the Royal Rumble and went on to capture the World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther at WrestleMania.

Uso is currently bad with his brother Jimmy as a tag team on Raw, and he discussed his spot on the card in an appearance on Cody Rhodes’ Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast. Uso said that he is always feeling competitive with main eventers including Rhodes, Seth Rollins and others. He also weighed in on his appearances in WWE: Unreal season one, which documented his Rumble win and featured Triple H and other expressing concerns about Uso getting blown up during matches. He specifically mentioned the footage of his botched dive on an episode of Raw in March of last year leading to the PPV. You can see highlights below (courtesy of Fightful):

On Considering Him a Top Player In WWE:

“We’re all still competing. Especially with you [Rhodes], I still compete with you. Man, come on, man. Come on. I still compete with you, I still compete with Seth. I look at the top homies. Man, I consider myself a top guy, and internet, whatever. Y’all say — whatever… I’m him. I’m ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso now. Y’all know which twin I am now.”

On Being Depicted As Getting Blown Up In Matches On Unreal

“Aye, that Unreal stuff popped me though because when I watched it — I miss a rope. ‘Damn, I blew up. Hit the damn top rope.’ Look, look, I’ll say it, hell yeah I be tired. Damn, we only wrestle one time out the week. I had to get my stamina up but you know, damn, it happens.”
