Appearing on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart was asked about music star Cyndi Lauper not being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame yet, despite her association with the company in the 1980s during the company’s golden age. Hart also expressed his belief that Lauper will be inducted “sooner or later.”
Jimmy Hart stated on Cyndi Lauper (via WrestlingInc.com), “I think [WWE] have always been interested in doing it, but I think her schedule has always come up, because she’s either on tour or something’s happened on it.”
He added, “I wouldn’t put too much heat on WWE, because I think they’ve always thought about her doing that. … But they’ll get to it sooner or later, trust me!”
Lauper previously offered her managerial services to former WWE Women’s Champion Wendi Richter in the 1980s when Richter was going against Leilani Kai. Lauper appeared in Richter’s corner for her title match at WrestleMania I at Madison Square Garden in 1985.
