WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart’s famous megaphone was reported stolen during WrestleCade’s November 29 convention at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Event organizers shared the news on the official X account, confirming that HD cameras had fully covered the venue and that police will review the footage if the item is not returned by December 2.
Hart’s megaphone is one of the most recognizable props in wrestling history, associated with his long-running “Mouth of the South” persona. He used it throughout his managerial career, including during his work with major stars such as Hulk Hogan. The prop has remained a iconic symbol of Hart’s character and public appearances for decades.
According to WrestleCade, Jimmy Hart is not seeking to press charges despite the theft. He just wants the megaphone returned and encouraged the individual responsible to contact the event through direct message. The post stated that the investigation will proceed with law enforcement if the megaphone is not recovered by the deadline.
The message read:
“🚨 Someone stole Jimmy Hart’s megaphone at the convention yesterday. The venue has HD cameras and police will review the footage tomorrow. Jimmy isn’t looking to press charges — he just wants it back. If you took it, DM us. 12/2, the police investigation moves forward.”
Earlier in 2025, Hart appeared alongside Hulk Hogan during the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW on January 6. Since then, he has made several appearances in WWE, including Saturday Night’s Main Event XXXIX and the SmackDown tribute to Hogan after his passing.
As the investigation’s next steps approach, WrestleCade awaits contact from the individual responsible, while authorities prepare to move forward if the item remains missing.
