John Cena, Buddy Matthews, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey have paid tribute to PAC following the AEW wrestler’s death at age 40. PAC, whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, died on September 27. His death came just 21 hours after he competed against Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out. The official cause of his death is expected to be determined following an initial autopsy.

John Cena remembered the late wrestler with a second post on his Instagram. While it didn’t have any caption, the image was from their 2015 United States Championship Open Challenge match and had PAC (then known as Neville) kicking Cena in the face.

Buddy Matthews, who worked with PAC in both WWE and AEW, shared a tribute through his Instagram Stories. Looking back at their match in AEW, he said PAC had set an exceptionally high standard for cruiserweight wrestling after he left 205 Live. Matthews wrote:

“This match was a dream of mine, we missed each other in the cruiserweight division but was lucky enough to stand opposite to him in AEW. Once he left 205live & I arrived I strived to maintain the quality of matches that Ben had set! But soon realized that Ben set the bar way to high that no one could get too! A true professional in the game & legit just a good person with a beautiful heart – you’ll be missed forever and you legacy will live on forever Thank you for being you!”

AEW star ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey postponed his weekly YouTube vlog after learning about Satterley’s death. He explained that the episode had already been edited before he received the news. While he remembered PAC as an intelligent and impressive high-flyer, Bailey said his kindness and concern for others were equally important parts of his legacy (via F4WOnline). Bailey said on PAC:

So I recorded the vlog during the week and edited it and had it ready to go up on Monday morning on Sunday, just before we found out about the tragic passing of PAC — Ben — which is a horrible loss that is felt by the entire pro wrestling community. If you knew him as a wrestler, he was one of the most intelligent, impressive, high-flyers in pro wrestling history. And if you knew him as a person, he lived exactly how he wrestled — with care and passion for detail about everything and everyone around him. And he cared so much. And the world is a better place because of him. Let’s celebrate his life, let’s remember him fondly, and let’s never forget him.”

AEW has announced this week’s episode of Dynamite as a tribute to PAC and released a YouTube video highlighting his greatest moments and matches in the company. WWE aired a graphic remembering him at the beginning of RAW this week, and stars like Bayley, Becky Lynch, and Penta honored the late star with their gear during the episode/
