Hey guys, Jeremy here. Before Steve takes over for tonight’s show, I wanted to give a heads up. We’re currently on the look out for new people to provide live coverage of AEW Collision and TNA Impact. Our live coverage folks recap the events of the show as they happen and provide their own thoughts on the matches. After the show is done, they post a review immediately after consisting of your live coverage recap and overall thoughts on the show.
This is a paid gig. If you’re interested, please email Ashish and I your resume and any relevant writing samples. Thanks and enjoy the show!
Steve Cook here with you for the latest edition of WWE NXT on the CW! We’ve got two Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round matches tonight. Zaria will defend the North American Championship against Thea Hail. We’ve also been met with the fact that Mason Rook won’t be challenging Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship tonight. Grayson will apparently be defending against someone, we’ll find that out at some point during this show!
If you already subscribe to the 411MANIA Wrestling Newsletter, earlier today you received some of my thoughts on that legendary bastard PAC, WWE’s deal with Bleacher Report & the late, great WWE Sign Guy. If you don’t already subscribe, do so right now! Yes, before we get to the show because if you’re like me you won’t remember to do this a minute from now.
If you’d like to chime in with your own thoughts on tonight’s show, feel free to join your fellow 411 Maniacs down in the comment section! As the legendary Larry Csonka always said: Have fun and don’t be a dick. When I’m not here you can catch me on social media from time to time. To be honest, e-mail is a better option and you can reach me at [email protected]. I’ll be more likely to respond there.
We see a remembrance graphic for Neville before the traditional opening graphic.
Then. Now. Forever. Together!
We’re in Orlando! Robert Stone informed Grayson Waller that Mason Rook isn’t available tonight, so it’ll be an open challenge from anyone on the NXT Roster! Grayson seems open to this. Vic Joseph & Booker T are our hosts.

Myles Borne is WALKING! We’ll hear from him next!
We return from commercial and Myles Borne makes his way to the ring. He meant everything he said to Tavion Heights two weeks ago. He was back to being the man he didn’t want to be. He always wanted to be Myles Borne. He’s trying to tell us Tavion is the bad guy, and he’s doing a bad job at it. He shouts out Ethan Page for telling him the truth that there could only be one man. He stomped out Tavion the same way he did Ethan. He was being the real version of Myles Borne. He tries to make the fans feel guilty. The only reason the fans liked him was because they felt sorry for the deaf kid. Without him, Tavion would have never won the one championship Tavion ever won. Myles feels sorry for the fans. He’s the deaf one and they’re all watching him. He’s done being the bigger person and treating people the way he wants to be treated. He tells the fans to go to hell.
Lizzy Rain talks to Robert Stone, then Mini Vikingo & Chazz “Starboy” Hall come in and Stone compares them to Rey Mysterio, who thought their team was a great idea. Lizzy wonders if they’ll work out together, and we’ll find out next.

NXT Chronicle takes a look at Cruz Montana. He was taught not to tolerate disrespect. His daughter never has to experience what he went through. His mother was a drug dealer, she did what she had to do to put a roof over their head. She never spent a day in jail, she’s the greatest version of herself now. His father was blind and drowned himself in his demons because he couldn’t be the father he wanted to be. Years later, Cruz had his own struggles with drugs & alcohol, he had to go to rehab and he’s proud he survived. His past is his superpower.
Kelani Jordan is WALKING! We’ll hear from her next!
Izzi Dame congratulates Zaria on her win, Zaria walks into the locker room to see a dress hanging in her locker. I’m not entirely sure what it means but folks seem freaked out about it.
Kelani Jordan makes her way to the ring. She’s no longer an afterthought. She dares people to take their title, they won’t. Catalina has a long way to go to be in her league, Wren’s suspended, she’s cleared out every single contender. Nobody ever handed her everything. She’s the standout, not the handout. She earned the championship, so when a true challenger presents herself, she’ll defend the title. Wren is suspended. Nobody will do it like Lani. Robert Stone is out to interrupt her moment. The women’s division will have a 20 woman battle royal next week, and the winner will challenge her at Halloween Havoc. Women from NXT, Raw, SmackDown & TNA will be involved! Reina Volcana attacks Kelani from behind to stake her claim!
Robert Stone has to deal with booking Naraku & Saquon Shugars against opponents. Not an easy thing to do.

Winner: Nathan Frazer & Axiom (7:02 shown via pinfall)
The NXT Spotlight is on Kendal Grey. She has no life outside the ring, she studies every mistake. She tried some hobbies, guitar playing, painting and learning Spanish didn’t work out. The PC is a little like Love Island so she’s not concentrating on relationships. She doesn’t know how to answer the question about when working harder isn’t enough.
Grayson Waller is WALKING! Everyone seems to want to answer the open challenge, we’ll find out who gets it next!
My TV cut out during the post-commercial segment, which is a shame because I was hoping they’d explain the dress in Zaria’s locker and they showed it right when it got cut off.
Next Week: NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal! Dusty Classic First Round Matches! Hill vs. Naraku!
Grayson Waller comes out for his match. . He turned up to work tonight unlike Mason Rook. The men of NXT have their chance tonight to do something about it. Who’s ready for Grayson Waller? First one in this ring gets a shot.
We see various people trying to charge to the ring. It’s a mess in the entranceway, but Zilla & Cruz face off! While they pull each other out of the ring, EK Prosper sneaks into the ring and apparently that’s the title match!

Waller hits another rolling Stunner and gets the three count.
Winner: Grayson Waller (16:39 shown via pinfall)
Grayson tells us there’s no one on this roster that can beat him, but EK had a good try. Zilla Fatu starts talking as we’re cut off locally by right-wing nonsense that passes for news on this fake channel. So long for now!
